An eligibility response tells you if the specified listings and/or categories are eligible for promoting listings in an ad campaign. The following table explains all the elements or fields in the distribution response file.

CSV: Item ID

A unique eBay-assigned ID for a listing that is generated when the listing is created.

CSV: SKU

The product's Stock Keeping Unit.

CSV: Group ID

The variation group for a set of SKUs. Included if products with variations were uploaded.

CSV: Channel ID

The unique identifier of the eBay marketplace where the SKU is/will be listed. Values include EBAY_US, EBAY_GB, EBAY_DE, and others. See Marketplace enumerated values for full list.

CSV: Category ID

The unique identifier of the eBay leaf category ID.

Sellers can submit a feed with only the category IDs in which they list. The response for a feed consisting of category IDs contains all the seller’s eligible listings.

Promoted Listing Eligibility

The value in this field indicates if the corresponding listing is ELIGIBLE or INELIGIBLE to be added to a Promoted Listings campaign.

Trending Ad Rate %

eBay calculates the trending ad rate value assessing the average bid percentages of similar promoted listings in the associated marketplace and category.

Occurrence: Conditionally Returned

CSV: Ad Rate %

The ad rate specified by the seller if the given item ID, SKU, or group ID is already included in an ad campaign.

CSV: Campaign Name

The seller-defined name for the campaign. Only returned if the supplied SKU or item is already included in an ad campaign.

Promoted Listing Action

Not returned. The action is used for adding, deleting, or updating promoted listing information for an ad campaign.

CSV: Status

This field indicates if one of the seller’s eBay listings was found that matched the Item ID, SKU, Group ID, or Category ID:

  • SUCCESS: All or specific items added or updated in the feed are now live.
  • FAILURE: All or specific items added or updated in the feed weren’t uploaded.

CSV: Message Type

The type of message: error. or warning

Occurrence: Conditionally Returned

CSV: Message ID

The ID number of the message.

Occurrence: Conditionally Returned

The text of the message, which can include information about errors and how to correct them.
