A product search feed is a CSV or XML file that you upload to MIP to find candidate products in the eBay product catalog on a specified site to which you can match your items. You can search by reference ID, keywords or product identifiers such as UPC, ISBN or EAN, plus any combination of optional search criteria. You provide search criteria in a product search feed. The response file includes up to 10 matching products per request.

Requirements

  • Product search feeds must contain all of the elements listed as required in the Product search feed definitions table.
  • You can upload product search feeds multiple times per hour.

  • You can upload up to 10 feeds at one time, but the feeds will be processed one at a time, in the order they are queued on the server.

How to create a product search feed

  1. Download the product search feed sample file: product-search.csv or product-search.xml
  2. Save the file to your system and edit it as needed to contain information to search for a specific product in the eBay product catalog. See the field definitions on the Product search feed definitions page.
  3. Save the file as a .CSV file or .XML file with an appropriate name.
